Stampin'Up! Celebrate card

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke -

Hello everyone

Today's tutorial is a card that I have made using some new products from the Spring/Summer Catalogue.

Stampin'Up Celebrate card

I chose to do a video for this card as I have used dry embossing on two different mediums, the first being regular Stampin'Up! cardstock and the second vellum. Vellum can be a little tricky to dry emboss as it is thinner than cardstock and it can crack and fall apart if too much pressure is applied when it is put through your machine.
So for me and my machine which is a Bigshot, I have found a way to emboss the vellum by using just one of the cutting plates.
I have the Extended Mulitipurpose Platform with my Bigshot and have different tabs to select the thickness of my platform for die cutting or embossing. The Stampin'Up! Bigshot comes with the regular Platform and cutting pads. The same technique that I have used will work for either Bigshot platforms.
As you will notice the Hexagons Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is much thicker than a regular embossing folder, So that is why you will only need one cutting plate when using it.
The most important thing to remember when dry embossing is not to force the rollers on your machine it is not good for your machine and it could cause it to break. Im sure you will agree that what ever die cutting machine you have will have cost at least £100 so it is always wise to look after your machine!

Here is the video for you
