Stampin'Up! Watercolour card technique

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke -

Hello everyone,

Firstly I would just like to say sorry for being a little off the radar recently. It has been a busy time for me recently with having easter holidays and 2 small people to look after. So I have done a new video tutorial for you and I will also have news of a One Sheet wonder class in the next few days.

For my card today I have used the Garden In Bloom stamp set and have used the stamps and ink in a way to give a watercoloured finish. I love to experiment with colour and various techniques and I used this to make my Mums Mothers Day card. You will be pleased to know that the Garden In Bloom set is going to be carrying over to the new catalogue, I know I was!

To make the background or as I like to call it my GDSP (Gemma's Designer Series Paper) I stamped on some watercolour card with the outline stamps in the set and then used a waterbrush pen to drag the ink and colour the inside of the images. I also used my Clear Wink of Stella pen to give the butterflies a subtle shimmer. I do love the Wink of Stella pen as it gives sparkle but it's not too much.

Here is the video tutorial, Sorry for the interruption of my phone ringing!

Measurements for the card,

I used a card blank from my craft cupboard and it was approx 6" x 6", To make your own simply cut a 12" x 6" piece of card and score it down the centre.

Calypso Coral card 5 3/4" x  2"

Watercolour card 5 1/2" x 5 1/2"

I also used some Calypso Coral Ombre ribbon on my card which came from the cupcakes and carousels embellishment pack but it will be available in the new Annual Catalogue from June 1st! Im so excited about the new catalogue and will be sharing some new goodies very soon!
