Stampin'Up! Split Triangle gift box

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke

Hello everyone

I have a lovely little project for you today. I designed this box quite a while ago and have only just uploaded the tutorial for you.

Inside the box there is a tray which holds the box together but I have also added a band to put a sentiment on too.

I have made a few of these boxes now but the one in the video tutorial uses the Gingham Gala patterned paper which now had retired which shows you how long ago I made the video.

Here are some of the other ones I made, as you will see these have got a ribbon tie on them.

For the box you will need

Outer box

A piece of card measuring 9 1/2" by 8 1/4"

This needs to be scored at...

91/2" side at 3 1/2" and 6"

on the 8 1/4" side at 3 1/2" and 4 3/4"

You then need to cut this piece in half with the long side at the top of your trimmer at 4 3/4"

This will then give you the two pieces you need to make the triangle shaped outer box

Inner tray

This needs to be just under 8" square, as I explain in the video or 20.2cm by 20.2cm

You then need to score this at 1" and 2 1/4" on all 4 sides of the card

For the band you will need a piece of card 11" by 1 1/2"

For the patterned paper on the band I pieced 2 together as the gingham Gala was 6" x 6", This measured 11" by 1 1/4"

The mini card inside was made with a piece of card measuring 3" by 6", scored at 3" on the long side.

For the envelope I used my envelope punch board and used a piece of patterned paper measuring 51/4" by 5 1/4". The punch and score measurement on the envelope punch board is 2 5/8"

To decorate the box you will need patterned paper in the following measurements

3 1/4" by 3 1/4" Cut in half diagonally

4 pieces of 3 1/4" by 1" for the 4 sides

I used the Piece of Cake stamp set and the matching punch for my box, which is carrying over to the new Annual catalogue.

Here are the tutorials, It is split into two parts, in the first part is the making of the box and the second is the mini card and envelope

I would normally list what I used to make my project but as the patterned paper has retired I will just give the info for the stamp set and the punch.
