Stampin'Up! Double Point fold card

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke

Hello everyone,

Today's card and tutorial is this fun fold double point card. It's a great way to show off some of the fabulous DSP that Stampin'Up! produces.

This again is another make from my Sunday evening craft along on Zoom.

For the card above I have kept it simple and have used one of the elements from the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Speciality Paper, which is so pretty and you can make some fast yet stunning cards with. The main colour of my card is Magenta Madness and I have used the card, DSP, ink and the enamel dots. The sentiment is from Forever Fern.

My second example is slightly different as for the first card I decided to adhere both the top and bottom of the oval to the points but on this one I have left the bottom unstuck. This gives you another area to add a little message to, Just be sure that the embellishment on the from covers up what you put underneath so you can get the reveal moment!

This card features the Jar of Flowers stamp set and punch to create the front image along with the Flowers for every season DSP and Just Jade card base. Again I have kept it simple as Im not sure what final sentiment to put on the front just yet but I'm sure once I find a recipient I will!

Another tip I have for this card is to make it a tent fold card, with the fold for the card at the top as it can be a little front heavy and a side folding card can topple over with the weight.

To make your card following my method you will need

A card Base, Half a sheet of A4 cut on the short side at 4 1\8" (1\2 a sheet), Score this at 5 7\8" (in half)
This will leave one side a tiny bit longer than the other which is just right as it helps with the balance and weight of the front of the card.

A piece of Whisper white that measures 4" x 5 5\8"

2 pieces of DSP that measure 4" x 3"  These both need to be scored at 1" on the 3" side.

Depending on the colour of your card base you will also need a piece of whisper white card to go inside your card, This measures 3 7\8" x 5 1\2"

For the front part of the card I have chosen to use an oval from the Layering Ovals dies, I used the largest plain edged oval or you can use any label type die you have or simply cut a rectangle of card, This needs to be around 3 1\2" to 4" in length and around 2 1\2" wide to fit on the card.
