Stampin' Up! Flirty Flamingo Pop Up Gift Box

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Made By Gemma

Hello everyone,

I am just loving the new set of In Colours in the new catalogue, so I decided to have a play with my favourite stamp set Garden in Bloom and some of the In colour cardstock to see what I could come up with. Here it is

Stampin'Up! Garden in bloom

I enjoy making 3d projects so I thought I would make a gift box. When I was out doing the weekly shop I came across a gift box and thought i could make that so I bought it and then set about de-constructing it to make a version of it. As far as I am aware Stampin' Up! don't stock an A3 size cardstock so I had to resize it to make it out of a sheet of 12"x 12" cardstock. The box is all one piece of cardstock and when it is closed it looks like a box and lid with a ribbon. It's not until you open it you realise its not! I'm sure I will do a full tutorial on this project and if you are lucky a video!!
The photo on the left is of the top of the box when closed and the one on the right is when it's open.

For the white panels I stamped some flowers and butterflies from the Garden In Bloom stamp set in Flirty Flamingo ink using the second generation stamping technique which I love as you can get two different colours from one ink pad and as you will see in the future its one of my favourite techniques.

Also just for fun I made another box this time using Calypso Coral cardstock and the new Affectionately Yours DSP from the new Annual catalogue. The new catalogue will be available from the 1st June and there are lots of new products in there and some beautiful new suites. Watch this space for more about the new catalogue...
