Stampin'Up! Handbag box card

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke

Hello everyone,

Today I finally have the tutorial for the project I made for the Crafty Cupcakes team bloghop.

Here is the original box,

For this one I used the beautiful Spring Time Foiled dsp and for the one in the video I decided to make it with card and then decorate it with some dsp like this,

I just love the black card with the pretty floral design of the paper! The dsp is from the Sweet Soiree speciality dsp. The stamp I used on the front of this box is from the Lots Of  Happy all inclusive card kit, which shows that you can use the stamps for any project!

To make this box you will need either the speciality dsp or cardstock, both measurements are the same.

For the main box,

A piece 12" x 6"

Scored  on the 6" side at 1" and 5"

Scored on the 12" side at 1", 4 1/2", 5 1/2", 6 1/2", 10" and 11"

For the handle a piece 1" x 9 1/2"

If you are using card and want to decorate the box with dsp you will need some in the following measurments,

3 3/4" x 3 1/4" 2 of these

3/4" x 3 1/4" 4 of these

3/4" x 3 3/4" 2 of these

You will also need 2 craft magnets and some ribbon and/or embellishments of your choice to finish your box

To cut the circles on the box I have used my go to Stitched Shapes Framelit dies, which as you will know are my go to product and I have also used the ovals for the front of the box. I love this die set and I think it should be on everyone's basic craft supply list as it is so versatile.

For the cards inside the box I made some 3" x 3" cards and then some envelopes to match using the envelope punch board. If you don't want to make your own envelopes there are some 3" x 3" ones in the Annual Catalogue and I will link them below with the other supplies.

Here is the tutorial

Thank you for dropping by today and until next time,

 Happy crafting!
