Stampin'Up! Pop Up Card

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke

Hello everyone

Today I have an exciting interactive card for you with a video tutorial.

I have recently started holding card making classes local to where I live and this project is the latest one that we have done. It was a fantastic class and I had to arrange another date as it proved to be very popular indeed!

Here are the original cards I prepared for the class and the last picture is the one I made in the video using some new product from the upcoming Autumn/Winter Catalogue.

I got the idea for this card after seeing an interactive album on a facebook video and really loved the pop up frame element to it so I decided to work out a card version. You could either put photos in the frames or stamp inside like I have, either way its makes a beautiful keepsake card for someone.

For the card in the first 2 pictures I used the beautiful Magnolia Lane DSP and paired it with the Beauty Abounds stamp set. The main card base is made from Mossy Meadow card and the pop out frame inside is in Early Espresso.

The christmas version is made with Cherry Cobbler card and Thick Whisper White. The dsp and stamp with coordinating punch are from the Perfect Plaid Suite.

To make this card you will need

Card Base, 10" x 5" scored in half to make a 5" x 5" card

Frame inside, 6" x 7 1/2" You will then need to score this at the following measurements

Short side (6") score at 3"

Long side (7 1/2") score at 1/2", 3 1/2", 4" and 7"

2 pieces of ribbon approx 8" long

3 pieces of DSP 4 3/4" x 4 3/4"

2 pieces of white card for inside the frame 2 3/4" x 2 3/4"

For the front, White card 4" x 3" and  a piece to layer it on measuring 4 1/8" x 3 1/8"

A small piece of white and coloured card for the sentiment with a small piece of ribbon to finish the front.

Inside I have cut the largest oval from the stitched shapes dies from white card.

You will also need a square die to cut the frame.

 Happy crafting!
