Stampin'Up! Mini Album

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke

Hello everyone

This weeks project is one I'm sure you will love, a cute mini album! I saw the idea for this album on Pinterest by Monkia Weiss and I couldn't wait to make one. The tutorial that Monika has on her blog was in German so I used the handy google translate and off I went. Her tutorial is also in cms so I decided to convert it to inches as I find it much easier.

This is also the project that my Sunday evening zoom craft group made last weekend, every Sunday evening we meet up on zoom and craft together, everyone is welcome so if you would like to join us please drop me a message on Facebook.

For the album above I used the beautiful Ornate Garden Speciality DSP which is a brand new product that is available now and part of the Ornate Garden Suite. This suite is featured in the new upcoming 2020/21 Annual Catalogue and is available as an early release, click here for the details. I used the Ornate Frame dies and the Love What You Do stamp set.

To make your album you can use either a 12" x 6" piece of DSP or 2 6" x 6" pieces of dsp. The original tutorial used one 12" x 6" piece but in my tutorial I used 2 6" x 6" pieces as DSP comes in 2 sizes and I wanted a way of using either.

If you chose to use the larger size then you will need one whole sheet of DSP cut to the following

12" x 6"
Then cut the other half in half so you are left with 2  6" x 6"

If you are using 6" x 6" you will need 4 sheets, these can all be the same or you can coordinate them.

For the front and back cover you will need 2 squares of thick card, I used the backing card from a pack of dsp, Cut to 4 1\2" x 4 1\2"

For the pages you will need 5 pieces cut to 8 1\4" x 3 7\8" and then 2 pieces 4 1\8" x 3 7\8" Whisper White card

Fold the 5 long pieces in half (4 1\8")

Some ribbon approx 20" long

Here is the album I made in the video, I used the Dressed To Impress stamps and dies along with the Best Dressed DSP, The ribbon is the Organdy Striped Ribbon in Powder Pink.

I Love the handbag die in this set and for the front I used the main panel of the bag and then cut it down to fit on the front. It is embossed with the Tufted 3D Embossing folder, which is retiring soon so be sure to get one while you can!

Here is the video

These are some of the supplies I used today

I do hope everyone is safe and well and I'm looking forward to sharing some new product and projects from the upcoming new Annual Catalogue with you soon, remember I am only a click away so if you have any questions about Stampin'Up! or any of my projects then please ask away!

Until next time,

 Happy crafting!
